Temporary Closure of Kingaroy Waste Facility Weighbridge

As previously advised the weighbridge sustained substantial damage due to a lightning strike last week.  All necessary replacement parts and equipment have been ordered and enroute to Council’s supplier, with repairs scheduled for mid-next week.

Commercial operators are reminded and encouraged to use the Nanango or Wondai weighbridges in the interim to record accurate disposal weights, as opposed to deemed weights that must be used when a waste facility weighbridge is inoperable.

A further update will be issued on Tuesday 22 October 2024.

Council apologises for any inconvenience and asks for patience as it works diligently with the supplier and electricians to have the bridge back up and operational as soon as is possible.
