Dog Registration Renewals - Reminder
South Burnett Regional Council advises that dog registration renewals were issued on Friday 27 September 2024.
Residents are reminded the current registration period is from July 2024 to 30 June 2025, with registration renewal payments due by 27 October 2024.
If you have not paid your dog registration, please contact Council by this date to make payment or update any details, including change of ownership, moved out of the area or if your dog has sadly passed away.
Council was made aware of an error regarding the BPAY customer references for the animal registration notices. Payment can still be made using the BPAY reference number if the number five (5) at the beginning of the reference number is removed. For example, if the BPAY reference number on the animal registration notice is 50000111, enter the BPAY details for reference number as 0000111, removing the 5 and the payment will be accepted by the bank and allocated correctly through Council’s receipting system.
Alternatively, payments can still be made over the phone 4189 9100 with the customer service team or over the counter at one of our customer services centres.
Please note under the Animal Management (Cats and Dogs) Act 2008 Section 54 it is the animal owner’s responsibility to notify Council within 7 days of any changed information. Penalties apply for failing to update details. Council would prefer your cooperation to resolve this matter in complying with the Act to avoid enforcement action being taken which may include Infringement Notices being issued.
