Council’s closure dates for Christmas and New Year 2024-25

Customer Service Centres, libraries and administration offices
Council’s Customer Service Centres, libraries and administration offices close from 3.00pm Tuesday
24 December 2024 and reopen at 8.30am on Thursday 2 January 2025.

Waste management facilities and kerbside collection
Waste management facilities located at Blackbutt, Kingaroy, Kumbia, Memerambi, Murgon, Nanango, Proston, Wattlecamp and Wondai will be closed on Christmas Day Wednesday 
25 December 2024. All Council waste management facilities will resume regular opening hours from Thursday 26 December 2024.

Kerbside bin collections will continue as normal, including Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

Visitor Information Centres and Museums
All South Burnett Visitor Information Centres (VIC’s) and Heritage Museum’s will be closed for Christmas Day, Boxing day and New Year’s Day, normal trading hours will apply for all other days. Please find a full list of trading hours for each centre here

For any Council emergencies, please call 1300 789 279 or 4189 9100 where you will be put through to Council’s after hours call centre. In a life threatening emergency, please call Triple Zero 000.
