Mayor's Community Christmas Luncheon a Success!
The Mayor’s Community Christmas Luncheon held on Friday 6 December 2024 in the Kingaroy Town Hall has raised $6000.
All proceeds being donated to South Burnett families in need by way of IGA food vouchers which local charity organisations will distribute.
Mayor Kathy Duff was sincerely thankful for the generous support of the community, volunteers, local businesses and all our sponsors who contributed to the success of the Mayor's Community Christmas Luncheon for 2024. “The South Burnett truly showed their community spirit by coming together to help bring extra joy to those families facing difficult times this year”, said Mayor Duff.
This year the guest speaker was Julee-anne Bell who shared her inspiring story and sang two beautifully moving songs. Other music was performed by Cr Jane Erkens and friends of the Shed Nanango.
The food for the two-course meal was generously supplied by the Peries IGA Kingaroy and beautifully prepared and served by the Queensland Country Women’s Association (QCWA).
