Santa Claus Lane Winner Announced
South Burnett Regional Council’s Chief Executive Officer Mark Pitt PSM has today announced the winner of Santa Claus Lane, the annual Christmas Spirit Initiative of the region for the local community!
“It gives me great joy to announce this award and I am pleased to advise the winner of Santa Claus Lane for 2024 is Main Street Maidenwell,” said CEO Mark Pitt.
The 2024 Santa Claus Lane winner was a difficult decision to make, given the quality of the entries and was made considering the extensive collaboration between neighbours and their written submission on the entry form.
“Santa Claus Lane is an important part of encouraging community cohesion. It’s a time where we can all work towards a common goal while making the Christmas season brighter”, Mrs Pitt said.
The Santa Claus Lane initiative is in its sixth year and has seen winners from Wondai, Proston and Kingaroy. “We aim to encourage residents to work with their neighbours to create a display of cooperation for the benefit of all”, Mr Pitt said.
Entries opened in November and the CEO and his wife, personally sponsor the Santa Clause Lane award to increase social cohesion in the region, along with its sister initiative Santa’s Workshop sponsored by Ken Mills Toyota.
