Be Prepared but Not Alarmed – TC Alfred

The South Burnett Community is being asked to “Be Prepared but Not Alarmed”.

Mayor Kathy Duff said that Council and the LDMG are keeping a close watch on Cyclone Alfred and its possible tracking inland from the coast. “We will know more obviously as the forecasts are updated in the coming days and we would encourage residents to think about their plan if the region was to be impacted, particularly from further rainfall across the catchment”, said Mayor Duff.

Please find a list of information and help available for those potentially in the path of Cyclone Alfred. This will help Queenslanders to understand their risk and encourage general preparedness activities in the lead up to the cyclone.
