The ceremony commenced with the Flag Raising ceremony by the 135 Australian Army Cadets followed by the official opening and welcome by Emcee John Carey. This was then followed by an Affirmation Ceremony and then the Australian National Anthem which was sung by Sue Dowideit-Reiger. We were also entertained by Stephanie Hirsch who sang a beautiful rendition of ‘I still call Australia Home’ and ‘Waltzing Matilda’.
