Saleyards

There was a speciality horse sale at Coolabunia Yards (hasn’t been one in ages) with 10 horses booked.  On the day six horses were on show with 4 sold and 2 passed in.  The top horse price for the day was $6500.00

At last week’s speciality weaner sale 807 head were sold.

There has been approx. 35 metres of catwalk boards and posts replaced with a further 25 mtrs to be completed in the coming weeks.

Rail Trail

The bitumen surface is completed from Kingaroy to Barambah Creek including the second seal funded under the Work 4 Queensland program.  There is only 3.8 km remaining to complete the works to join the bitumen surface to Murgon.  The chicanes in Wondai and Meier’s Road will be installed during June.  I would like to remind everyone that there are cameras installed along the Rail Trail and any unauthorised vehicle use will be reported to the appropriate authorities.

Work 4 Queensland – update

BP Dam

Work has commenced on the cabin upgrades at Yallakool Caravan & Recreation Park.  To date the 9 new kitchenettes have been installed, work has begun on installing the new shower cavities with 6 being completed with the last 3 to be installed after the school holidays.  Internal & Patio painting has also commenced with Cabin 1 completed and cabin 2&3 to be completed by school holidays.  There will be six cabins back on line for the school holiday period 23 June to 9 July.

Boondooma Dam

Boondooma Dam Residence has been painted internally and new floor covering has been laid, shelving has also been added to one of the rooms to allow for the linen to be now stored in the residence.

Occupancy figures for the period 1 July 2016 to 11 June 2017

BP Dam 10472 with avg length of stay 3.29 days

General mowing and maintenance is up to date at both dams.
