Back

Council wishes to advise that drainage and road upgrade works have commenced at Brisbane Street, Nanango.

The works, funded through the Queensland Government’s 2019-21 Works for Queensland program (W4Q R3) and Council’s 2019-20 Capital Budget, will impact the section of road between Drayton Street and Hospital Terrace. It is expected that the project will run through to mid-April 2020, weather permitting.

Temporary Closure

In order to undertake these works it is necessary to close vehicular access to part of Brisbane Street. While this closure is in effect a detour will be available for access to the hospital and properties above the project site, with the route following Gold Street and Hospital Terrace before reconnecting to Brisbane Street - please see attached map for details. Signage will be located onsite to indicate this detour to motorists.

The water standpipe on the corner of Brisbane and Drayton Streets should be available during the works.

Motorists and pedestrians are requested to travel with extreme care, to drive to the prevailing road conditions and to adhere to signage.  Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks you for your patience whilst works are in progress. Local access to properties within the work area will be permitted, however some delays may occur.
