Update – Essential roadworks continues - April 2020

South Burnett Regional Council advises that essential road works continues in various locations throughout the region during April 2020, weather permitting.

These works include projects funded through the Queensland Government’s 2019-21 Works for Queensland Program (W4Q R3), the Transport Infrastructure Development Scheme (TIDS) and Council’s 2019/20 Gravel Resheeting programme. Essential works will continue to be delivered however some reprioritisation of works may be necessary depending on available resources and future government restrictions.

Gravel resheeting and upgrade works are scheduled for the following locations:

Gravel Resheeting

• Haly Street, Wondai - Footpath (TIDS)
• Robin and Lee Road, Booie (W4Q)
• Birt Road, Corndale
• Meehans Road, Memerambi
• Mondure Road, Mondure (W4Q)
• Mustons Road, Haly Creek (W4Q)

Continuing Works

• lronpot Road, lronpot - Boughyard Creek Bridge Replacement
• Brisbane Street, Nanango - Drainage Upgrade (W4Q)
• Gayndah Hivesville Road, Wigton (W4Q)
• Old Esk Road, Taromeo - Road Upgrade
• Mount Hope Road, Booie
• Old Wondai Road, Wattle Camp
• Hoggs Road, Wooroolin

In order to provide a safe work environment, the work areas will be controlled by signage or with traffic controllers as required. Local access to properties within the work area will be permitted. Motorists are requested to travel with extreme care, to drive to the prevailing road conditions and to adhere to signage. Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks you for your patience whilst works are in progress.
