Notice of Intention to Sell - Substituted Service on Property Owners

Council is giving Notice of Intention to Sell to a number of property owners by way of substituted service pursuant to Section 239 of the Local Government Act 2009 (Qld) ("Act") because despite having made reasonable enquiries and attempts to serve the notice on the owner, Council does not know, or is uncertain about, the property owner's current address.

Pursuant to Section 239 of the Act, Council must:

  1. Publish a notice that contains a summary of the Notice of Intention to Sell in a newspaper that is circulating generally throughout the State and the Gazette.
  2. Publish a notice that contains a copy of the Notice of Intention to Sell on Council's website.
  3. Address the notices to the person by name if Council knows the person's name
